An April Poem
April comes with skies so bright,
Flowers bloom in warming light.
A season fresh with hope anew,
As nature wakes with golden hue.
Yet in this month, a tale so grim,
A ship set sail, proud and prim.
The Titanic, strong and grand,
Met its fate by nature’s hand.
A silent night, the iceberg near,
A crash that filled the world with fear.
Brave hearts fought, yet waves won,
Lives were lost, but love shone on.
So April brings both joy and pain,
A time of growth, yet loss remains.
A lesson deep like ocean blue,
That life is fragile, yet courage true.
WOMEN’S CLUB HOUSEHOLD & CLOTHING DRIVE – TUES. April 21st. It’s time for spring cleaning! Go through your closets, drawers and storage! Clubhouse drop-off 9am to Noon, more details to come. WHAT WE NEED: Clothing – shoes – accessories – blankets/bedding – flat screen TVs – Kitchenware – small appliances – electronics – sporting goods – books; WHAT WE CAN’T ACCEPT: large appliances -air conditioners – tube TV’s – computer monitors – food items – exercise equipment – mattresses – foam pads – large furniture – recyclables (cans, paper, magazines).
