We held our annual Veterans’ Day celebration on Saturday, November 8. Our first without the founder of the Men’s Club and Veterans Committee, John Allen.
Our community’s bravest men and women were honored and thanked for their valued and heroic service.
The Club did an outstanding job leading and hosting the event. Kudos to the team who ran the event and prepared presentations, including a tutorial about the US Naval Academy. Vintage pictures of many of our resident veterans regaled in their service uniforms also delighted the audience.
The families of recently deceased veterans were also recognized.
A donation will be provided to the Bowlers to Veterans Link. Club member John Petraglia champions this cause and serves as a chief spokesperson. Thanks to everyone who contributed at the door!
